Denga, the young cheetah, on the roof of our car. He was about 8 months old at this time.
Denga's story: He lost his mother (she got shot) and he got rescued by Harnas Wildlife Foundation. He then got adopted by a cheetah named Pride who had grown up on Harnas and was now released. Pride had a cub named Merci who was Denga's age and they accepted him into their family and he is now living together with them.
We met Pride and her cubs on research (Pride has a collar so we can track them) and when we went out of the car to say hello to them (Pride would come over to us because she likes people), Denga decided to climb on to the car. Denga and Merci are both wild cheetahs, but we got to be close to them because they would follow their mother even when she went over to us.
